MEET OUR TEAM
Attorney Katherine Coyne
Attorney Kate Coyne brings compassion, skill, and experience to help you navigate through the personal and legal challenge you are facing. Whether you are facing divorce, custody disputes, child support issues, or the need to modify an existing court order, Kate provides thoughtful counsel and strong advocacy tailored to your unique circumstances. She also serves as a divorce mediator, helping couples reach informed agreements whenever possible. No two people and no two cases are alike, and Kate is interested in understanding you and your story so that she can get you to the outcome that will allow you to move forward in your life.
After graduating from Northeastern University School of Law, Kate served as a judicial law clerk in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. During her three years in that role, she worked closely with judges throughout Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire Counties, researching complex legal issues and drafting orders, judgments, and memoranda of decision. This experience gives her valuable insight into the court process and judicial decision-making. Most recently, Kate exclusively practiced family law with the Law Offices of Alison Silber, representing clients in a wide range of domestic relations matters.
Kate believes that family law matters should be resolved as efficiently and constructively as possible. She works diligently to negotiate fair and lasting resolutions, while remaining a prepared and effective advocate when litigation is necessary. By maintaining a carefully managed caseload, she is able to provide clients with the personal attention and responsiveness they deserve.
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Kate is proud to be raising her family in the community she serves. She is an active member of the Hampden County Bar Association and deeply values her work representing children through the Children’s Law Project, as well as volunteering as a conciliator through Community Legal Aid. She considers it a privilege to help individuals and families navigate difficult transitions and move forward with confidence.
Attorney Danielle Fortier Wehrli
Attorney Wehrli understands that clients facing family law matters need more than legal representation—they need an attorney who listens, advocates, and guides them through every step of the process. Whether navigating divorce proceedings, custody disputes, or other family law issues, Attorney Wehrli provides compassionate counsel and strong advocacy tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. Her litigation experience and knowledge of the court system allow her to effectively negotiate and advocate on behalf of her clients both inside and outside the courtroom.
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Attorney Wehrli is proud to serve the community she calls home. After living in both Washington, D.C. and Boston, she returned to Western Massachusetts to raise her family and continue her legal career. Attorney Wehrli earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hamilton College in 2010 and received her Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 2016. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar later that year and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Attorney Wehrli is an active member of the Hampden County Bar Association. She is involved in representing children through the Children’s Law Project, volunteers for the Lawyer for the Day program, and also volunteers as a conciliator through Community Legal Aid.
Before co-founding Coyne Wehrli, Attorney Wehrli practiced family law at the Law Office of Alison Silber, representing clients in a wide range of domestic relations matters. She also previously worked at a Boston-area law firm focusing on business, construction, and insurance litigation. This diverse legal background provided her with extensive experience in litigation, legal research and writing, negotiation, and mediation. Attorney Wehrli draws on these skills to provide thoughtful, effective advocacy and help clients move forward with confidence through difficult family law matters.
